After months of anticipation, we're excited to unveil the 3-phase launch of our next-generation blockchain network — a 4-month journey that begins now with the rollout of our public Hyperion Testnet. This is more than a technical milestone; it’s the start of a community-driven movement designed to empower developers, early users, and innovators from across the Web3 space.
While spending nearly $500,000 on the campaign, we didn’t want to just hold another hackathon or just another Twitter campaign. We wanted to really drive value towards the ecosystem and users. We wanted to create a time where we all get involved in the growth of Hyperion from testnet to mainnet, and create a community where the community itself is a flywheel of value.
Our campaign will unfold in three key phases of exciting community campaigns, a new platform to house our community, and tons of community and developer campaigns, each designed to build momentum, drive adoption, and reward participation — all leading up to the highly anticipated Mainnet launch.

The campaign kicks off with the Testnet launch, giving developers and ecosystem partners early access to the tools and infrastructure that will power the network. To accelerate innovation, we’re hosting a global Hackathon, inviting builders to experiment, deploy dApps, and stress-test the chain.
All of this will be centred around the new Forum we’ve built, a place where Metisians can come together to drive innovation, community building, and just a fun place to be in general. It is the start of our “bottom-up governance by action through discussion.”
Participants will compete for recognition, prizes, and new types of perks, helping shape the first wave of applications on our chain.
Over the following months, we’ll roll out a series of incentivized campaigns aimed at both users and developers. The middle months are where we all build momentum, both for the Metis community and Hyperion to work towards building something great. Phase 2 has a host of value-added and fun activities:

The campaign culminates in the official Mainnet launch, bringing the full power of the network online. Backed by real-world testing, community-driven feedback, and battle-tested apps, our launch will mark the beginning of a new era of scalable, efficient, and inclusive blockchain infrastructure.
Expect exciting new uses of an instant L2, new and exciting applications of AI on blockchain, major partnership announcements, and cross-chain integrations, and you, the community, as the centrepiece.
