Metis’ has recently expanded regional efforts, including South Korea and Vietnam campaigns. Notably, Metis is now the first official sponsor of a Korean baseball team—a strategic move to deepen regional presence. Meanwhile, Vietnam is emerging as a major target market, with our CEO, Tom Ngo, confirmed to speak at Super Vietnam in Da Nang, a city being developed as the country's AI and blockchain innovation hub.
Beyond events and IRL campaigns, the spotlight now turns to Hyperion’s multi-phase launch, which includes a testnet rollout, community engagement through forums, and the upcoming HyperHack builder campaign.
Hyperion is not just another Layer 2, it’s a purpose-built network optimized for real-time, compute-intensive, and AI-native applications. The launch campaign is designed not only to activate the network but to ignite a grassroots movement that brings developers, thinkers, and community builders into active collaboration.
Metis’ growing AI focus is intentional, and LazAI, one of the ecosystem’s first AI-native protocols, is being incubated directly by Metis. We believe in growing AI-based projects on Hyperion, which ensures both technical readiness and ecosystem alignment.
Last week, Metis launched the Hyperion Forum, which serves as the heart of the launch campaign. But this isn’t just a typical governance forum, it’s designed to be a true bottom-up governance mechanism.
Here are the key differences:
We at Metis emphasize that this structure allows builders, marketers, and non-technical contributors alike to shape the future of the Hyperion ecosystem. “What is governance, really? At its core, it’s the collective power to influence change,” Daniel explained. The forum becomes a space where ideas can evolve from conversation to execution.
Whether it’s a proposal for a new Hyperion feature, a critique of existing tooling, or a seed idea for an AI-powered agent app, the forum gives these discussions a home. Over time, the most resonant ideas can grow into full-fledged projects. Contributors aren’t limited to protocol-level changes; they can influence product direction, ecosystem collaboration, and tooling.
Importantly, builders have lacked a focused space to interact. The forum is designed to change that, offering not just a launchpad for ideas but a hub for serious technical and strategic discussion.
Looking ahead, HyperHack kicked off on May 12 with the Application and Ideathon phase and will enter to the 2nd phase, Building, on Jun 2. This three-month Hackathon will bring developers into the fold with incentives, recognition, and a push to explore Hyperion’s AI and performance capabilities.
Meanwhile, the forum remains open for everyone, with incentives for participation, idea generation, and engagement. Community members who consistently contribute may earn badges, gas subsidies, and visibility within the ecosystem.
We invite everyone, technical or not, to get involved early because it’s not just about building dApps. It’s about shaping an ecosystem.
